With so much content competing for the attention of readers and so little time to consume it all, it’s critical for content producers to ensure their strategy is on pointe.

The most obvious component of an effective content strategy is the writing – but that’s only one piece. Without a solid game plan that includes considerations for promotion/virality, long-term staying power and – wait for it - conversion, your efforts run the risk of being wasted.

A ‘golden rule’ we’ve shared before states:

“Content strategy is 20% creation and 80% promotion.”  [Tweet This]

Without first planning for promotional considerations (before writing) and investing a considerable amount of time promoting (post-publishing) – it’s extremely likely your message will fall on deaf ears.

If you’re thinking about starting to produce content, you’re in luck. We’re giving away Onboardly’s step-by-step content creation, publishing and promotion process to help your efforts be more effective.
